joy's visit to a disabled home

joy's jc had an outreach program early this week.

it was a disabled home. the students went there to provide entertainment for the folks.

she thoroughly enjoyed herself. she even took over the mike and asked if any folks knew 刘文正? then, she proceeded to sing 阿美阿美, but was obviously stuck half-way.

she described the folks in the home as 'poor thing', having lost their mobility, and of course the self-esteem and sense of worth.

truly, a good health is the primary reason for a person living well.

when i was down with cough and gastric last week, i was rather apprehensive about my health condition. i was not able to eat any food for 4 days, as any light intake would also trigger off a pain.

when i regained my ability to consume food on sun morn, i was so happy. else, it was just oat for morning breakfast throughout the pathetic period.

i think the jc should organise more of such visits to the homes of the under-privileged, so that the young punks would understand how fortunate they are in terms of health, appearance and mental capacity.

  1. Such outreach program is definitely good for everyone, including ourselves, to appreciate and treasure what we have.

  2. A good effort to make the kids see other suffering, else they think things are always perfect and whine over the slightest thing!
