testimony

a fellow church member, tong shared a testimony of his recent trip to china with his cousins. apparently, the train that they were on suddenly came to a halt (despite being 2 stations away) when the designated time of knocking off from work struck. haha, that's the standard of china service, i guess. they had to lug their luggage and descended from the station to walk a long way to find a taxi. it was total blackout with no street lights, according to him, and the whole place was like a deserted grassland, surrounded by pirated taxi drivers. the charges quoted for a nearby destination were exorbitant. he was unwilling to pay but was fully aware of the danger that he was placed in. the taxi drivers told them,"你今晚是回不到酒店的!" didn't that sound like a threat,"pay up or u will perish here!" he quickly made a prayer seeking for god's help. soon, a taxi turned up at his steps with a caucasian couple exiting from it. tong and his cousin quickly sneaked in and hurried the cab driver to make his way, eager to get away from the 'clutches' of the pirated fellows. in the cab, he asked the driver,"what's the caucasian couples doing at this late hour by coming to such a deserted place?" truly, the driver had no idea at all. in the end, tong came to a conclusion that GOD has heard his prayer and had sent ANGELS to save him out of his plight. indeed, GOD is great and works wonders, if u place your faith in him. AMEN!

  1. OMG, that's scary. i felt that i was in a near-similar situation when I was in Egypt. Just arrived at the airport and we were surrounded by surly-looking Arabs in their long garbs, asking for exobitant fares. In the end, we've got no choice but to take one of the cabs and pray that we'll be safe.

  2. Sound scary. Luckily they are safe. Under that kind of circumstances, I would do silence prayer in my heart and hope that God answers.

  3. well, jean and white, i nvr came so close to that kind of encounter.

esp at late hours, it's so dangerous if women travel alone.

china, besides the rich culture and scenic spots, doesn't leave much good thing for me to talk about when it comes to righteousness and upright profile of the citizens.

i nvr like them, except for 2 friends that i found friendship in.

  4. It must be some ulu places thst he went to. Been to Shanghai, Suzhou and Hangzhou via train and service is good and punctual. Anw, I believe in silent prayer to god in times of peril and anxiety. Worked a few times for me... Coincidental or not, I dunno but I choose to believe it is god's doing.
