genting trip with 2 other guests

the 3 beauties - C.J.J. in short
(all with phoenix eyes)
- youth is always the best!

ha, guess who's that girl? slight resemblance of joy's pose, but i'm afraid it's someone else!

a prize for the right answer! (i mean, claim it from the girl in the pic)

a pic of foursome. 2 with smiley faces. one with a forceful sleepy smile and omg, the last with a sulky look....wisen up, miss J, time to put on your best sunshine smile!

a smile closes up distance between 2 persons, dun you know?

(well, maybe she got up from the wrong side of bed)

what's that pose? i see images of joy....she has finally trained and truly, 名师出高徒!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

overall, the trip was a pleasant one. in fact, the heroic driver didn't find the drive too taxing.

thks to the good night sleep that we had in the chin swee temple environment, which was a 10 minutes drive from genting peak.

in fact, it's so hassle-free, no pre-booking of hotels up at genting highland. furthermore, it cost barely $30 for a night's stay with a double and single bed.

needless to say, nicky slept with us for that 2 nights. luckily, he wasn't a snorer. but he claimed that i did though i insisted that i simply breathed a tad too hard...haha.

well, anything interesting to capture?

joy asked nick one day,"why do u like to play computers so much?"

his nonchalant reply,"i hv nothing better to do at home!"

maybe, that reply shocked joy a little coz' she always thought she had to fight for time to sleep, apart from the usual distractions from facebook, msgs and etc....

on the way driving back from jb to singapore, nicky was telling us that more than half of his class in poly smoke. his position was cute when he was being offered one to try,"erm...my parents dun like me to smoke..also, i'm having a sore throat!"

it was good to know that he didn't fancy smoking. neither was he curious about the experience nor susceptible to the peer's influence.

truly, it's not easy to oppose friends' offer, but being able to keep to one's stance and letting his friends knw about it, takes courage.

i asked in a casual tone,"nicky, did u regret not going to the jc?" "a little!" he said.

"well, impt thing is, jc life is very academic-based, it takes a lot of perseverance and learning how to deal with subjects u dun like. ask joy lah! furthermore, if u hv chosen the poly path, u hv to stick with it till the end!"

he sort of agreed. truly, we hv to let the kids understand, once a path is chosen, like it or not, we shouldn't call it quits so easily!

well, with jo, at the jap restaurant, we 'advised' her to smile more, and not showing that 欠扁脸 (well, no offence, that's how i describe my claire's face when she shows me no smile too!).

nicky was funny to say that he's used to seeing the sister not smiling and would prefer it to remain that way, since it would become artificial to see her smile. what strange reasoning, haha.

then, the main character spoke. in her matter-of-factly way, she responded,"no one in my famiy smiles......" "are you sure? dun your mummy smile and laugh a lot too?" we asked.
"yup, only mummy smiles more. u look at our family portrait...no one was smiling!" both the siblings retorted likewise.

well, to us, i always encourage the kids to put on a smile. joy is all eager to smile and make strangers feel comfortable. claire is still learning .....impt is to keep trying.

not neglecting my own kids, joy and claire, they hv fun rides in the car too, playing games and taking vain pics. afterall, they enjoy more leg space!

not to forget about our visit to the a'famosa water world resort.....wow, how could wild wild wet 'hulala' be compared to the one in malaysia? we literally 'flew' up when we took the ride in fivesome...maybe, it was the weight that caused the 'flight'! i swore, i nearly flew out of the raft...which explained why in the 2nd attempt, the attendants refused to let us go in fives....

the sliding was fun too...long slide and at such speed, that i swore my dear spouse was 'air-borne' on the slide, without his body coming in contact with the slide. it was a thrilling experience, except tha we missed nicky in the whole experience....check with him why?

the moral of the trip last year was 'rough it out', as jo had distinctly remembered.

the moral of this trip was 'six-some or none'.

afterall, our family strongly believes that we do things together, not leaving anyone out unless there's a good reason. it was good having nick and jo with us, a different experience altogether. i am sure none of us would forget the forfeit game in the nice buffet restaurant, when we played 终极密码....the girls were to eat fruits and desserts, and truly, i enjoyed my sweet oranges so much.

it was home sweet home in the night after sending the 2 back.....and the only regret was, i had to sadly miss a good movie in church, titled 'letters to god'!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

our first ever cable car ride to the goh tong jaya wholesale centre was interesting, with nice sample of malaysia's foodstuff. needless to say, we purchased some too! on the way back, we had a hell-ride. out of the blue, the cable car was hung and stopped moving for a while. i could see claire turned ashen-faced in the midst of the swinging cable car....while we continued to joke about the transport possibly giving way.....
